Try it yourself

This page is a collection of four simple, practical tools to support your self-reflection.

You can use them at your own time and pace, whether you're exploring a goal (GROW), checking in with yourself (Wheel of Life, and Coaching Compass), or you are just curious about coaching example (chat with AI). Just use the free tools below, no sign-up needed.

If you are not sure where to start, you can try Wheel of Life. And once you are ready to take your reflection one step further, contact me using a form on the bottom of this page to book a coaching session.

Wheel of Life (see your balance)

The Wheel of Life is a simple reflection tool that helps you see where life feels balanced and where it may need a change. There are no right or wrong answers - it is simply a reflection where you are on your life journey.

Take a moment to move each slider and rate how you feel in these areas of your life today. 0 means you feel that area is unfulfilled or underdeveloped, while 10 means it is exactly where you want to be.

There’s no pressure and no “perfect score”, just an honest sense of where things are right now. As you adjust the sliders, your wheel will update and give you a clearer picture of your overall balance.

Move each slider to the number that best reflects how you feel today.

Once done, you can take this a step further and ask yourself:

  • What feels the most important when you see the scores?

  • Where do you feel a change should happen?

  • What should the right balance look like?

You can also print this page and think about it later.

But it doesn't need to be written - maybe put topics on the walls of your studio and think about what dance will represent each part of the wheel. If you are a musician, think about songs. If you are a writer, what characters those will be. You don't need to be limited by a written form if something else works better for you.

GROW model (find next steps)

The GROW model is a well‑established coaching approach that helps you think about your next steps.
For example, if you are feeling stuck with a decision, the GROW model can help you move from "I don't know." to "Here is my next simple step."

AI as a Coach (reflect with structure)

AI could support you with structure, ask questions, and provide a guidance. It doesn’t replace human coaches, it complements them.

If you enjoy experimenting with AI tools, you can use the prompt below as an example of how to brief your AI assistant.

Simply copy the prompt into your preferred chat assistant, replace the three underscores in the first sentence with your main topic or train of thought, and let it guide you.

And don't forget - AI could be a helpful thinking partner, but it’s not a divine source of truth. It can offer perspectives, not certainties. So, keep using your own judgement and experience as the foundation of the next steps.

Coaching Compass (check your direction)

The Coaching Compass is a flexible tool. Print this, or sketch your own version.
Missing a category? Replace it with whatever matters most to you.

Then try to ask yourself questions like "Where the compass is taking me?" "What place I would like to go to?" "What place I am avoiding?" "How can I get from where I am to that place?"
